My 42nd Wordman article. "Pitch Points," has been published in the APMP Perspective.

Does it contain the answer to life, the universe and everything? What does it mean when the RFP asks for your response in a 10-pitch font? A fellow proposal manager contacted me a few weeks ago, stating that her RFP mandated that the text should use a "10 pitch font,” and asked what that meant. "Is that the same as a 10 point font?" she asked. So is it?...

Wordman Software Updates

With the release of Wordman's ReviewIt! recently, I have updated the other addins:

  • Wordman's Acrogen now allows you to optionally highlight abbreviations to make them easier to find. You can choose from Word's text highlight colors. See www.iamwordman.com/wordmansacrogen.htm for more details.
  • Wordman's Art Tables now supports pasting artwork as an ehanced metafile, and provides easier access to the Format Caption Numbering options. See www.iamwordman.com/wordmansarttables.htm for more details
  • Wordman's Hiliter now allows you to optionally store the last time that you ran Wordman's Hiliter on your document, together with the name and date of the keyword file. See www.iamwordman.com/wordmanshiliter.htm for more details.
  • All add-ins support Word 2007 and Word 2010, and if you are an existing user, you can simply download the new version of each add-in - your license key remains the same.

Word 2013!

Microsoft announced Office 2013 yesterday. So what's new in Word 2013?

  • Your personalized settings will now be avaiable across all platforms, including custom dictionaries
  • When you open a document, the cursor will be where you left it, not at the beginning of the document
  • You will be able to open and edit PDF documents (finally!)
  • Integration with Skydrive: keep your files in the "cloud"
